Die Stalle - Room 14

Die Stalle

What was once the stables at Zomerlust is now a four-room bolthole in the gardens – a stone’s throw from the pool area and a boldly dressed private idyll. Die Stalle is also ideal for families or groups staying together.

The experience here is one of warmth and personality, where heritage materials and confident pattern-making create a space that feels layered, lived-in and full of quiet drama.

The red that once coloured the building's exterior centuries ago has been woven back into the interior, giving the space a sense of continuity and intention. Patterned flooring and William Morris wallpaper on the ceiling bring texture and depth, while the overall aesthetic channels a confident mix of country-house pattern and tailored eclecticism.

The bathroom holds its own with checkered tiles in grey, charcoal and red, echoing the room and the building’s palette.

Best suited for:

Couples or solo guests who appreciate garden access and are drawn to historic buildings, bold interiors and ground-floor ease.

Each room offers a carefully curated collection of comforts, including climate-controlled air conditioning, a flat-screen television with DStv, an in-room safe and seamless Wi-Fi connectivity. Guests are further treated to a complimentary minibar with selected snacks, laundry service, and breakfast at SMEUL Restaurant, where seasonal, fire-inspired dishes set the tone for the day ahead.
