They have been important role players in this history ever since their very first French Huguenot ancestor arrived in 1685. Beautiful Zomerlust, of which the origins are traced back to the 18th century, was the home of three generations of this illustrious family. Zomerlust has been witness to a lavish lifestyle of people living and entertaining in the very best and most elegant manner, to such an extent that at one stage it was referred to as Buckingham Palace!
